The Gumnut board has been working hard on compiling the registration documentation for the Department of Education and Training (DET).

We are pleased to announce that DET has issued the certificate registering Gumnut Montessori School with a licence to teach until December 2012, when the next registration documentation will need to be prepared.

Thank you to all those who were involved in the review process, particularly our Directress Claire, who showed how well our school and teachers are organised. Claire demonstrated how our children are covering all learning outcomes required by State education. Gumnut children at a minimum meet and excel in the work they cover and report in each of their personal record files.

The DET personel reporting on Gumnut were very impressed with the classroom and were delighted to talk to the children on their chosen work. They both wished their children could have begun education in the wonderful environment that Gumnut provides!
